EPIDEMIOLOGY AND COMPLICATIONS OFPERIPHERAL NERVE BLOCKS IN ORTHOPEDICS AND TRAUMATOLOGY : RABAT MILITARYHOSPITAL EXPERIENCE

In recent years, Peripheral Nerve Blocks (PNB) have undergone a significant development due to the simplicity of management patients under peripheral nerve blocks and especially quality postoperative analgesia. This study aims at reviewing epidemiology complications blocks. We conducted prospective surveillance including all who had surgery for anesthesia or analgesia in Trauma Department Military Hospital Mohammed V Rabat over four (4) years. recorded demographic characteristics, ASA class, effects puncture, time performing blocks, failure, requirement further block, perioperative theirmanagement. One thousand hundred twelve (1412) underwent during period, representing 49% anesthetic activity Department. The mean age is 35 years old.
